'The gentle and sensitive companionship offered by an empathic person… provides illumination and healing. In such situations deep understanding is, I believe, the most precious gift one can give to another.'

ABOUT

ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Holly. I am a trainee humanistic and integrative psychotherapist working in Bristol.  I offer a warm, safe

and accepting space where you can expect me to be

curious and open to exploring what has brought you here. My wholehearted belief in the power of psychotherapy, is

rooted in the outlook that we all have the capacity to grow

into our true selves.

Before starting my training, I worked in Higher Education.  Here I developed my passion for learning alongside a diverse range of people and listening to their stories.

I have also spent some time in independent publishing, sensitively working with people who want to put their unique and often difficult experiences into writing.

As part of my training, I have volunteered as a trainee therapist at Bristol Mind and Southside in Bath.

MY APPROACH

MY APPROACH

Grounded in empathy and honesty, my approach is built on the belief that we have within us the ability to be self-aware

and that change is possible.

My integrative training means drawing on a range of different approaches to help you look at and unpick difficult emotions, thoughts and behaviours.  Holding space thoughtfully and in the knowledge that it is your inner wisdom we are cultivating together.

You can expect me to be sensitive and non-judgemental of whatever you bring.  Working together we'll explore how your past experiences may be impacting your feelings and current needs, helping you notice how you relate to yourself and others

How it works

HOW IT WORKS

I offer an initial 50 minute session at the reduced rate of £20, where we can get to know each other and talk through a little of what brings you to the start of your therapeutic journey.  If we decide to work together our sessions would be weekly, in person and 50 minutes long, as this regularity can help provide stability and contain our work.

My training is being accredited by Middlesex University and Bath Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy and I am a (trainee) member of the UKCP.  I offer a low-cost service of £25 per hour and my room is based in the welcoming Practice Rooms in Stokes Croft, Bristol.
